Radha-Krishna Maharaas Bronze Statue

Masterpiece composite bronze sculpture of the Maharaas leela of Sri Radha Krishna. The divine love of Radha and Krishna is without parallel. While Krishna is Bhagwan himself (the highest lord), Radha is the personification of Krishna ’s prema (divine love). The two are inseparable like the word and its meaning.

Radha is the essence of Krishna. One cannot be without the other. Krishna with Radha is the Supreme Person along with his infinite capacity for prema. The Gopis (cowherd girls) of Vrindavana were in love with Sri Krishna. Since the Gopis ended up loving the Supreme, their concentration on him was never in want of any disciplinary practice and was most natural.

Devotion of the Gopis is therefore regarded of the highest order, excelling even that of Brahma (the one who manifests the worlds, has his origin in Lord Vishnu and considered a great devotee of Vishnu / Krishna), Shiva (the one who causes dissolution of the worlds and regarded as one of the foremost devotee of Vishnu / Rama / Krishna) and Yogis.

Each Gopi wanted Krishna to herself and he granted so by manifesting in as many forms as there were Gopis. They danced together on the banks of Yamuna under a moonlit night. This dance is called the Maharaas which signifies the fulfillment of Supreme and Jiva (being) since both are most intimately united eternally

The divine music of Krishna ’s flute and his absolute availability and nearness to the Gopis granted them the highest level of fulfillment that any jiva could aspire for. This sculpture depicts the Maharaas with Radha-Krishna in the center and Gopis dancing around them, immersed in transcendental bliss. This is a very finely carved sculpture with intricate detailing in jewelry, dress and facial expressions of Krishna, Radha and the Gopis.
